6 Ways to Have Smooth and Flawless Legs

Smooth and flawless legs don’t always happen by chance. In most cases, it takes a bit of work and some TLC to get those gorgeous gams. From engaging in leg workouts to treating cellulite, to eliminating fuzz and dead skin cells, you’ll be able to rock your smooth legs with shorts or short dresses.

Here are a few tips for smooth and flawless legs:

1. Tone your legs

Exercises that target thighs can tighten and tone your legs and butt. These include squats, lunges, and jumping rope. Skipping the elevator and climbing the stairs can also help. You can also try dancing, as it engages not just your upper leg muscles, but also your glutes and quads.

If you want a little help in toning muscles, ZField Dual is worth considering. This uses electromagnetic energy to stimulate muscle contractions in the abdominal wall or gluteal region. It can also be used in upper legs, arms, and calves. It can lift your buttocks non-invasively, and help you achieve a six-pack without intense workouts.

2. Remove leg hair

While shaving is the most convenient way to eliminate fuzz, it is wasteful and doesn’t last long. Laser hair removal is a much better choice, as it inhibits or disables future hair growth. It works by delivering pulses of light energy into the skin to heat the hair follicles and destroy them.

A series of treatments offers long-term results with stable hair reduction. Read our previous post and learn the 5 reasons why laser hair removal is cost-effective

3. Exfoliate skin

Regular exfoliation can help improve skin tone and keep your legs smoother. Doing so can also improve circulation and reduce cellulite appearance by removing dead skin cells buildup. It will also enable lotion, sunscreen, and other skincare products to sink in easily and work properly.

You can exfoliate by using a body scrub or an exfoliating body lotion. Dry brushing is also a good method, as it can boost blood flow and exfoliate dead skin cells. Make sure to apply a moisturizer with an SPF after exfoliating.

4. Say goodbye to cellulite

Cellulite affects both men and women, but it is a lot more common among females (about 80 to 90%). There is no proven cure for skin dimpling, but a healthy lifestyle with balanced diet and exercises may help lessen its appearance. Undergoing shockwave therapy can also improve its appearance.

Acoustic shockwave therapies (BTL X Wave and Zimmer Z Wave) uses modified wave pulses to induce targeted vibrations within the connective tissues. This helps break down fat accumulation and makes the tissues tighter and firmer. A skin tightening treatment like Exilis Ultra 360 can also minimize cellulite appearance.

5. Apply sunscreen and moisturizer

While your skin is still moist or damp, apply your favorite lotion or moisturizer. The product works best when the skin is slightly damp, as it can absorb the lotion more easily. This also helps lock in hydration.

Also, don’t forget to apply sun protection, 20 to 30 minutes before going out. This can protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun (like premature aging) and reduce your risk of skin cancer.

6. Take care of your feet too

Caring for your feet involves more than trimming your toenails regularly; you should also exfoliate or remove dead skin cells. You can do so by rubbing coarse salt or sugar mixed with oil. Don’t forget to moisturize the top and soles of your feet after exfoliating.

Applying lotion or moisturizing, however, should not only be done after removing dead skin cells. It is a part of basic foot care and should be done daily to keep your feet soft and to prevent cracking.

Whether or not you’re planning to show off your legs, your skin and body can still benefit from the tips mentioned above.
