An Infographic of Our Published Study: “The Primacy of Ethics in Aesthetic Medicine: A Review”

Dr. Sylvia, along with Mr. Gunther Scherz and other esteemed colleagues, published a significant paper titled “The Primacy of Ethics in Aesthetic Medicine: A Review” in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global-Open Journal.

This study explores crucial ethical considerations in the field of aesthetic medicine and the multiple ethical challenges brought upon by the shift from doctor-led care to a consumer-driven model.

It explored/shed light on:

  • The rise of aesthetic medicine
  • The impact of social media and marketing on patient perceptions and decision-making
  • Appearance and aging anxiety
  • Balancing patient autonomy with professional judgment

Here is an infographic version of our study. You can also check out our previous blog for the summary of our paper’s key findings and implications.
