Do You Look Older than You Feel? 5 Treatments for Looking and Feeling Well-Rested

While everyone will eventually develop facial lines and wrinkles, others will  have them sooner than later. If you look at the mirror and think that you look older than your real age, it could be due to the premature signs of aging. Creases, wrinkles, and loose skin can make you look and feel older than you really are.

If feeling tired and older is also a concern for you, you may be wondering what you can do to look younger and well-rested. There are a number of things that can help, but it is important to figure out first what’s causing you to look older. This will then make it easier to determine and explore the treatment options for your concerns.

Below are a few aesthetic treatments that can help you look and feel younger and well-rested.

Dermal Fillers

At Cutis Medical Laser Clinics, we have two FDA-cleared dermal fillers that can restore volume loss and improve your skin’s appearance. Whether you’re worried about sunken cheeks, thin lips, puffy eyes, or weak chin and jawline, these injectable gels can help you.

We have the Juvéderm range of fillers which are made with hyaluronic acid or HA. This brand has fillers for softening wrinkles, creating more fullness in the lips, and restoring volume in the cheeks and cheekbones. Juvéderm also has a skin booster for improving skin’s hydration and a structural filler for creating more volume in the lower face.

Our clinic also has RADIESSE®, which is composed of Calcium Hydroxylapatite or CaHA microspheres. It is used for adding or restoring volume loss, smoothing wrinkles and folds, and contouring the face. Radiesse is also a bio-stimulator that stimulates the body to produce its own collagen.

Botulinum toxin or Botox

If lines and wrinkles are your main concern, Botulinum toxin treatment like Botox is right for you. Botox temporarily blocks the signal from a nerve to a muscle to relax and soften the wrinkles. This injectable can also be used to lift droopy eyelid and eyebrows and slim the jawline.

You may need to wait for at least two weeks to see the full effects of Botox. The results can last between 3 and 6 months or longer with touch-up treatments. You should also know that the technique of the injector matters in getting the results you want; make sure to only see a trained and experienced aesthetic doctor

Fat Freezing

If double chin or excess fat underneath your chin is making you look older and self-conscious, fat freezing can be beneficial. At Cutis Medical Laser Clinics, we have two devices (CoolMini and ZLipo Mini) that specifically target smaller pockets of fat, which includes chin fat.

  • CoolMini – This is one of the specialized handpieces of CoolSculpting, an FDA-cleared device for fat reduction. The procedure uses Cryolipolysis or fat freezing to target and kill fat cells. It can remove stubborn fat bulges without harming the skin.
  • ZLipo Mini – It is also one of the applicators of ZLipo, a non-invasive fat reduction treatment that uses fat freezing technology. ZLipo Mini is specifically made to treat smaller fat pockets located in the chin, knee, and underarm.

Profhilo™ Bioremodelling

If you’re looking to address collagen loss and treat other signs of aging, Profhilo may be the right treatment for you. This anti-aging injectable contains 100% pure hyaluronic acid. It can address laxity and hydrate the skin, as well as improve its tone, texture, and overall quality. Profhilo bioremodels the skin through a slow release of hyaluronic acid. This then stimulates the production of four types of collagen, elastin, and proliferate adipocytes (fat) stem cells. This can give your skin a glowing complexion with improved hydration, as well as lifting and tightening effects.

Ultherapy®

For noninvasive skin lifting and tightening, Ultherapy is worth considering. This US FDA-cleared non-invasive device delivers time-tested focused ultrasound energy under the skin’s foundational layers. This triggers a natural response that stimulates the production of new collagen.

You can turn to Ultherapy if you have mild to moderate skin laxity or if you want to improve your facial contours. You may see an immediate effect after the treatment, but full results appear over two to three months. Further improvements can be seen six months after the treatment.

Achieve a well-rested and refreshed look with these treatments. Schedule a consultation with our Harvard-trained aesthetic doctor, Dr. Sylvia Ramirez at Cutis Medical Laser Clinics in Singapore, to find you are a good candidate for the procedures mentioned.
