Our very own Dr. Sylvia Ramirez emerged as the winner of the best clinical case in the “Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation” category in the 2022 Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC 2022). The ceremony was held on April 1st at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco that had more than 8,000 participants physically and over 3,000 virtually.
Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation was the hottest contested category in the event with 19 finalists from different countries, including Brazil, France, Italy, UK, and USA. Dr. Ramirez won the prestigious award and category with her clinical case, “Combination Treatments for Facial Rejuvenation in a 68-year-old woman”.
Dr. Sylvia’s winning clinical case discussed the combination of laser treatments, injectables like fillers and botulinum toxin, and other non-invasive skin tightening procedures to achieve safe and effective facial rejuvenation resulting in a natural looking outcome without cuts and needles.
Dr. Sylvia is also one of the finalists in the Best Non-Surgical Body Shaping category
This year, the AMWC Aesthetic Medicine Awards gave recognition to 12 doctors in different categories, such as:
According to AMWC, there were over 1,000 applications from 60 different countries. Out of the 500 shortlisted submissions, over a hundred made it to the finals. The voting process for the winners involved a jury composed of renowned doctors, with strict criteria based on originality, effectiveness, and final results. Very importantly, the cases were blinded so that the jury did not know the names of the doctors submitting the cases.
The AMWC 2022 Awards, in partnership with the Aesthetic Multispecialty Society (AMS), were created to honor doctors for their innovative protocols and techniques and most importantly their treatment results in the fields of medical aesthetic and anti-aging medicine. The event also rewarded the best products and devices in the industry.
AMWC is the world’s leading aesthetic & anti-aging congress. It is a highly anticipated annual occasion that attracts over 12,000 participants from more than 120 countries. The event also features a multidisciplinary program that is designed to discuss new experiences, entice the exchange of ideas and expertise, and increase networking opportunities.
