Introducing Cutis Ultherapy VIP – VIsualization and Personalization

Despite the undeniable results of a surgical facelift, many are choosing Ultherapy to tighten their facial skin. As not everyone is ready or willing to go under the knife, this non-invasive procedure is becoming more and more popular. Ultherapy taps into the power of ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production and lift your skin without cuts and needles.

At Cutis Laser Clinics, we are happy to introduce our Ultherapy VIP or VIsualization and Personalization program. Continue reading to learn more about our VIP protocol and why you should give Ultherapy a try.

Fast Facts about Ultherapy

  • Ultherapy is a US FDA-cleared and European CE-Marked non-invasive procedure for lifting and tightening sagging skin on the face, on the brow, and under the chin.
  • It delivers ultrasound energy into the deeper layers of the skin, triggering new collagen production. This enables the skin to achieve a visible yet natural lift over time.
  • The procedure can treat moderate skin laxity without the pain and complications associated with a surgical procedure.
  • Ultherapy has no downtime so you can go back to your normal activities after the treatment.

A Look at How Ultherapy Works

As mentioned above, Ultherapy uses time-tested focused ultrasound energy to tighten the skin on the face, neck, and upper chest. It safely delivers energy to the dermis and the foundational layer of the skin called SMAS (Superficial MusculoAponeurotic System).

SMAS is the layer usually addressed in cosmetic surgery. With Ultherapy, however, it can be treated without disrupting or cutting the skin’s surface. The ultrasound waves are then converted into heat, stimulating new collagen. This helps in lifting and tightening the skin

Ultherapy’s depth of the sound wave penetration makes it possible to target the tissue layers that could be previously addressed only by surgery.  This is not possible with other aesthetic procedures which can only target the upper layers and are not able to reach that deep.

Ultherapy uses an ultrasound imaging, which allows aesthetic doctors to see the tissue layers or the area they are treating. This gives patients a reassurance that the ultrasound energy is delivered to the areas where it is needed and will be beneficial.

Cutis Laser Clinics VIP Program

This non-invasive procedure is technique-dependent, which means that the way you do the treatment affects the results. This can also make a difference in terms of risks. At Cutis Medical Laser Clinics, we start with planning before we do the treatment. This is where the Visualization and Personalization (VIP) program comes in.

We have the VIP protocol, as there is no one-size-fits-all with the treatment. There are cases where the SMAS layer is shallow in certain patients, which will require a different treatment plan (not the traditional protocol). This will help maximize results and lower any associated risk.

With Visualization, the aesthetic doctor can have an insight of the patient’s quality of underlying tissues. It also provides information required to assess the right depth of treatment, as well additional education for the patient. This is beneficial in tailoring the Ultherapy treatment based on the need and uniqueness of the patients.

To target the correct layer and avoid complications, it is advisable to get the treatment from an aesthetic doctor who does Ultherapy procedures frequently. It is also important that s/he has experience and is familiar with the imaging and the VIsualize and Personalize program.

Things You Can Expect During the Procedure

There are no special preparations or skincare regimen required prior to Ultherapy. The procedure can last between 30 to 120 minutes depending on the number of areas you want to treat. Slight skin redness is common after the treatment, but this should subside after a few hours.

Feel free to check out our previous blog post to learn the things you can expect before, during, and after an Ultherapy treatment. A consultation with an aesthetic doctor can determine the number of treatments you need, as well as provide you with the right expectations for the procedure.

Ultherapy’s Proven Results

Some patients can see an initial effect following the procedure. Real and significant results, however, appear over two to three months or the period where the new collagen starts to lift the skin. You may be able to see further improvements up to six months following your Ultherapy session.

The results of Ultherapy can last up to a year or more, but this will still depend on the individual. It is important to note that the treatment stimulates new collagen, but the natural aging process affects the visible results on your skin. Touch-up treatments are recommended to maintain youthful results as the skin continues to age.
