Sculpting Your Glutes: What Can Help and Get in the Way?

For many women, the lower area of the body, particularly the hips and thighs, are common areas for fat storage. For this reason, working out the butt can be challenging. And even with hours at the gym or being consistent with routines, achieving that round and lifted appearance for your bum could feel like an endless struggle.

Poor posture and other factors that get in the way

Well, some of the things you knowingly or unknowingly do could sabotage your efforts. Not having the proper form is one of them, as your hard work is not likely to pay off with the wrong technique and poor posture. Both are important when doing squats or routines that are supposed to target the butt.

One important tip when squatting is to lower down or bend your legs as if you’re sitting in an imaginary chair and not letting your knees go too far forward. Researching the right form helps, as well as connecting with a fitness trainer or a certified strength and conditioning specialist, even just for a few sessions.

Other things that could derail your efforts include:

  • Not or being hesitant about lifting weights
  • Doing the same workouts every day (variation is important)
  • Not eating properly or ignoring your diet
  • Doing a little too much or forgetting about recovery

There is a non-invasive procedure that can boost your efforts

At Cutis, we always encourage everyone to commit to positive lifestyle habits in achieving their fitness goals. Healthy eating and regular exercise are always important, and you can always supplement your efforts with a non-invasive procedure that can target the glutes and other areas of the body.

ZField Dual is one procedure that helps, particularly in lifting and firming the buttocks non-invasively. It uses high-energy electromagnetic pulses to stimulate involuntary muscle contractions. It assists in fat burning and muscle toning to help you get closer to your ideal physique with just a few treatments.

The basics: The device has two applicators that can be used at the same time to stimulate two opposing sections of the muscles. It can treat and target your buttocks using two of the applicators, as well as your abdomen using one of the applicators. What ZField Dual does is turn flabby areas of the body into toned muscles.

ZField Dual at work: As previously mentioned, it uses high-frequency electromagnetic energy to induce targeted muscle contractions. It generates a strong inductive field and enables around 27,000 contractions during a single treatment. It helps strengthen the muscle fibers, resulting in improved fat burning and muscle conditioning.

What can it do: ZField Dual can help tone and shape different areas of the body. It is designed for tightening and strengthening the abdominal, gluteal, and thigh muscles, but can also treat the lower back, calves, and arms. You can turn to this treatment to:

  • Lift and firm your buttocks non-invasively
  • Build muscles without intense workouts
  • Achieve toned or visible abs
  • Have a 30-minute ab treatment equivalent to 20,000 sit-ups

Keep in mind: ZField Dual and similar procedures are not weight loss treatments or substitutes for a healthy diet and exercise. They are non-invasive aesthetic procedures that can help improve the shape or contour of certain treatment areas. It is best to pair this procedure with healthy or positive lifestyle habits.

What about fat freezing and other fat reduction procedures?

Fat freezing treatments such as CoolSculpting and ZLipo use controlled cooling temperatures to target and kill fat cells. The treated fat cells are gone for good and will not move or migrate to other areas of the body. This then reduces the fat layer thickness for a more sculpted appearance.

If you have excess weight in your belly, hips, thighs, and buttocks, fat freezing can target the fat cells in these areas. It works well on pinchable fat or stubborn fat bulges that sit under the skin. You can also use fat freezing with ZField Dual to target excess fat first and then tone the area to give it more definition.

Again, fat freezing is not a treatment for weight loss or obesity. Ideal candidates are those who are near or within their ideal weight but are looking to target certain trouble areas. Check out this blog for 5 Questions to Know if Fat Freezing is Right for You.
