3 Simple Tips before Trying New Acne or Wrinkle Treatment

Acne and wrinkles are two of the most common skin concerns which can affect a person’s confidence. Acne and wrinkles often leaves the skin with spots, enlarged pores, facial lines and rough texture. These skin concerns can make a person feel unattractive, uncomfortable and less confident.

There are several ways on how to remove acne and wrinkles, reduce acne scars and bring back the smooth, soft and clear skin you once have. You can either choose to use skin care products or undergo an acne or wrinkle treatment.

Nevertheless, it’s important to take note of these 3 simple tips before trying a new treatment that you think is fit for you.

1. Research carefully on the treatment first!
Nowadays, almost everything can be searched online. Avoid committing for a treatment without doing any research first. You don’t want to spend your money on a treatment that your not sure if it will work or whether it is the best treatment for you.

If you heard about a new skin treatment or product that seems too good to be true, research about it first before jumping on the bandwagon.

Remember to:
•  Check other people’s experiences and reviews first. Make sure to double check if they experienced any side effects or fallouts.
•  Take note that we all have different skin types and our skin’s reaction may not be the same as other people. What works for them may not work for you. Always take note of the skin type of the person and check whether you have similar experiences with regards to skin concerns.

2. Seek a specialist.
It’s very important to consult a professional who can effectively treat your skin problems. Consulting a professional with a good experience will help you avoid bad side effects such as having a “Spock” effect due to the inadequate Botulinum Toxin (or more commonly known as Botox) treatment on the forehead wrinkles or making your acne more severe than before.

Do a thorough research about the clinic’s background. You may also check other for testimonials or recommendations regarding the clinic. Make sure that you go to a specialist who has enough credentials and experiences.

3. Consider non-surgical procedures.
For acne, one of the many effective treatments is a combination treatment of chemical peel such as salicylic acid and a laser treatment like Laser Genesis. Salicylid acid is commonly used in different acne products because it helps keep the pores clear of cellular debris which can reduces pore blockages and breakouts on the skin.

Laser Genesis is a non-surgical procedure that decreases the size of the pores and diffuses redness that was caused by acne. After a single session with Laser Genesis, you may feel the subtle effects such as decrease in pore size and improvement on skin tone. The overall skin benefits may be seen after four to five sessions.

For wrinkles, Botox is US FDA approved, safe and effective treatment that is injected directly into the muscles to iron out all the unwanted wrinkles. Botox is commonly used to treat frown lines in between the brows and wrinkles in the corners of the eyes.

The treatment takes approximately 10 minutes and you can see the results instantly.

So now, before booking an appointment for a skin treatment, consider following these 3 tips which may help you to save not just your time but also your money.
