Is Bio-remodelling safe?
Bio-remodelling contains 100% pure HA, which the body metabolizes completely over time. Also, it does not have additives like Lycodine and BBDE, which are known to increase the formation of lumps.
Do Bio-remodelling injections hurt?
As with all other injectable treatments, there is some minor discomfort. With bio-remodelling, topical anesthetic or numbing cream is applied before the procedure to make it tolerable and more comfortable.
When will I see the results?
With bio-remodelling, patients can immediately see results after the second session, which will improve over two to three months. However, there are also cases where patients report seeing improvements after the first treatment.
How long do the results of Bio-remodelling last?
In general, patients can expect the results to last for up to 6 to 9 months. But since every individual is different, the longevity of results can vary.
How many Bio-remodelling injectable treatments will I need?
The usual protocol is two treatments, spaced one month apart. The number of sessions is also fewer compared to other injectables. For each treatment, one syringe of Bio-remodelling is used. Subsequently, one syringe can be used as a booster treatment every 6 months. For more mature skin, this protocol may be modified.
Is there downtime?
The downtime for Bio-remodelling is minimal to none. Just be sure to avoid aspirin, anti-inflammatory medication, and alcohol 24 hours before the injection. You should also avoid UV exposure and exercise for 48 hours. Most patients can return to their normal routines after the treatment.
Are there side effects?
Common side effects include mild swelling and redness, lumps/bumps, swelling, and tenderness. These are temporary and will resolve within a few days.
Who are good candidates for Bio-remodelling?
Bio-remodelling is ideal for patients who are in their 30s (and above) and are dealing with skin laxity, wrinkles, and other signs of aging. It can treat mild sagging and moderate signs of aging, as well as improve skin hydration and elasticity.
How does Bio-remodelling differ from fillers and botulinum toxin?
While all are injectables and can treat different signs of aging, they are not the same. Fillers are mainly for filling up volume lost, smoothing fine lines, and enhancing facial contours. Botulinum toxin is completely different, as it is a neurotoxin and doesn’t contain hyaluronic acid. It treats wrinkles and fine lines by temporarily paralyzing the muscles in the face.
Bio-remodelling is meant for boosting hydration and improving the overall quality of the skin for a more refreshed and youthful glow.
Can I combine Bio-remodelling with other treatments?
Yes, you can combine it with other non-surgical anti-aging procedures. These include energy-based skin tightening, as well as other injectables like Botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. A consultation with an aesthetic doctor will let you know which combination of treatments suits your needs and goals.
